Kenyan Destinations

SamburuSamburu is home to large herds of elephants and elusive leopards. It is also well known for providing the opportunity to see wildlife that only lives in the dry north of Kenya. En route to the reserve, one encounters striking features such as the crossing of the equator in Nanyuki and the background of Mount Kenya as you travel towards the northern hemisphere. Huge Blue Mountains in the horizon along with the white of the snow-capped mount Kenya are quite warming to visitors.

The Great Rift ValleyThe Great Rift Valley is a vast geographical and geological feature, approximately 6,000 kilometres (3,700 mi) in length, which runs from northern Syria in Southwest Asia to central Mozambique in East Africa. Caused by the geological process of rifting, it is a complex feature where several plates of the earth's crust join. The rift valley varies in width from thirty to one hundred kilometers, and in depth from a few hundred to several thousand meters. It was named by the explorer John Walter Gregory.

TsavoTsavo National Park to many is mostly associated with the 'man-eaters of Tsavo', which has been documented on and produced as a movie. However not all is doom and gloom in the park. Tsavo West borders the south Serengeti plains in Tanzania and is home to many animals as altitude levels are conducive. Tsavo in general is divided into Tsavo East and Tsavo West; the Mombasa- Nairobi highway marks the separation.
