Set off for afternoon game drive in search of the ‘big five’ among other animals. Enormous Elephant population and other big game are attracted to the area by underground springs fed from the melting snows of Mount Kilimanjaro. Her breath-taking scenery – one of the best places for a photogenic view of Mount Kilimanjaro; weather permitting is next to none. Later drive back to your camp for sumptuous dinner. Overnight at the camp.
Enjoy a day on safari in Amboseli with game drives morning and afternoon (alternatively depart for full day game drive with lunch boxes). Amboseli is one of Kenya’s oldest‚ famous and most-visited park. The permanent marshlands also provide a potent draw to hippos and buffaloes‚ while offering a haven for the abundant water birds.
An International Biosphere Reserve‚ the park largely constitutes the usually dried-out lakebed of Lake Amboseli‚ which is surrounded by flat grasslands relieved by very few trees. Observation Hill‚ a conical peak‚ which is easily climbed‚ offers stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. In the evening enjoy dinner which will feature a display of traditional Maasai dance. Overnight at the camp.
Early breakfast at your camp then depart Amboseli National Park for Lake Nakuru National Park with lunch in Nairobi. Afternoon explore Lake Nakuru National Park which is famous for the spectacular pink flamingos that gather on its salt encrusted shores as well as for other bird species including African fish eagles and pelicans.
The woodland and grassland surrounding the soda lake are home to an abundance of wildlife including hippo, lion and the rare Rothschild giraffe. Lake Nakuru is also one of Kenya’s Rhino Sanctuaries and large numbers of white and black Rhinos are regularly seen, along with good sightings of Leopard. After a sundowner at a scenic point we head back to the camp for dinner and overnight at the camp.
After breakfast at the camp, we set off towards the stunning scenery of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley. Drive through the Great Rift Valley to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve – The jewel of Kenyan game reserves – offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game.
